Oil & Gas Drilling continues to threaten quality of life and home values in Michigan.
The Citizens Against Residential Drilling (CARD) would like to thank Senator Jack Brandenburg and his staff, as well as the members of the Senate’s Natural Resources, Environment and Great Lakes Committee, for their time and efforts invested in Senate Bills 1026 and 1076. The fact that they have done so much to address the crisis that befell Shelby Township and our neighborhoods near 25 Mile and Dequindre roads speaks to the gravity of our situation.

September 9th, 2104  Rally at Capitol to STOP Residential Drilling

Citizens and Township leaders from Shelby Township joined with West Bloomfield Township, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Scio Township and other communities to greet legislators as they came back in session in Lansing September 9th.

We want to let the legislators know the proposed bills in committee that support STOPPING drilling in residential areas need to be finalized and passed now.

Bill 1026, Introduced by Senators BRANDENBURG and ROCCA on August 13, 2014 would give townships with over populations over 70,000 more local control.
